Pangeaseed 概要 - Charity

Tokyo-based non-profit grassroots efforts to educate and raise awareness of the plight of sharks around the world. Through volunteer activism and the media of art, film, music and photography, PangeaSeed aims to create an open dialogue with the global community to develop an understanding of the need to preserve and protect sharks and their habitat. I am delighted to have been participated in their ‘No fin no future’ event, held at Superdeluxe (Tokyo) during this month of August. They were also involved at the Fuji Rock Festival which is the biggest music fest in Japan. I contributed with a naif drawing that they printed on limited edition t-shirt along with artwork donated from other artists such as Josh Keyes, Me & Yu or Yoh Nagao. These guys are amazing and their work is so inspiring. Josh Keyes does all sort of clever and aesthetically beautiful paintings featuring animals. I fucking love this, this, and this and this and this pieces. You can find out more about participants trough this archive which contains interviews and a short shark trivia, in which i did horribly, by the way.

I got a package in the mail from the runners of Pangeaseed (Japan) full of goodies. Stop by their Online shop. Proceeds go to saving sharks and keeping Pangeaseed trucking.
