Freakshow (2006)
Grotesque and profitable, the cruel world of malformations meets the well-known icons of Disney’s fairy-tales. Two concepts apparently unconnected but that seduce their audiences using as a decoy the alteration of reality. A series of ink illustrations based on the idea of hibrytation. The four pieces of this series are: Double-headed Bambi, The Tattoed Octopussy, The Bearded Lady and The tripled-breasted Siren. Irony and minimalism in huge colorful screenprinted basic white t-shirts. Each design was printed (some styles ltd.edition) and stocked in selected boutiques worldwide, including the MACBA (Museum of Modern Art of Barcelona).
