With a deep understanding of todays’ landscapes — yet driven by a spiritual, poetic and feminist stance, Gallen develops artistic and commercial work, often pushing the boundaries between both.
BA in Audiovisual Communication at Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona and specialized in film directing at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles and screenwriting at ECAM in Madrid. She's currently polishing a commercial spec screenplay and on the pre-production phase of a narrative short as a writer/director.
For the past decade, Gallen has been directing, designing and curating aesthetically and conceptually significant projects within the fields of Arts, Fashion, Film and Culture.
Gallen has exhibited her work solo in Aix en Provence; and collectively at European Culture Congress in Wrocław, Estoril FashionArt Festival and at the New York Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1 (Museum of Modern Art) — as well as in numerous art centers like MUSAC (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León), La Fresh Gallery or La Casa Encendida in Madrid, or The Center for Creative Communications (CCC) in Shizuoka (Japan), internationally.
Most recently at 080 Barcelona Fashion Week she has art directed two fashion shows for LCI Barcelona School of Fashion. Commercial clients include Reebok, Converse, Camper or L'Oréal, CANADA or VICE, ELISAVA School of Design or Istituto Europeo di Design or Fundación Montemadrid, among other businesses and individuals.
Gallen was chosen by the Association of Graphic Designers and Art Directors of the FAD (ADG-FAD) as a member of the jury of prestigious Laus Awards for Graphic Design & Visual Communication. Her gaining national and international recognition resulted in Gallen becoming the face and brand ambassador of campaigns of Purificación García, Converse or Reebok, among other sponsorships and collaborations.
As a young entrepreneur, Gallen founded her own line of limited edition t-shirts from 2006—2012 which created a cult-following among fashionistas and bloggers. The project lead to a fashion journey that included collaborations with urbanwear designers Roberto Piqueras and Krizia Robustella within Madrid Fashion Week in 2007/09. That same year, Gallen was invited to design a capsule collection —The Final Day— for KULTE, the top streetwear brand in France. Featured in fashion publications such as NYLON, METAL, Fucking Young!, VEIN or Vanidad; her designs were sold in concept stores in Barcelona, Paris, Naples, Moscow, Riyadh, Reunion Island or Taiwan.
